To start, we will access the Event Custom Fields page using the following steps:
1. Log into Neon CRM.
2. Select the Settings icon on the top right corner of the screen.
3. Select Global Settings from the drop-down menu.
4. Scroll to the Legacy Events section.
5. Select the Event Custom Fields link.
The Event Custom Fields page provides two buttons to select from, New Custom Fields or New Custom Groups. To create a new field, use the following steps:
6. Select the New Custom Fields button.
This takes you to the Event Custom Fields page.
7. Enter “Organization Affiliation” in the Field Name field.
8. Select “One-Line Text” in the Display Type drop-down menu.
Note: When you select “Radio”, “Drop-down”, or “Checkbox” form the Display Type drop-down, the Available Field Options section displays to add the options you wish to display with your custom field. You can add or delete options using the Add or Delete buttons.
9. Select “Yes” in the Attendee Question drop-down menu. This means that the attendees see the field on the event registration form.
Both the Webform Field Name and Login Portal Field Name sections are optional. If you would like to create a different name for this field in different areas, enter the name in the text boxes provided.
If you select “No,” this custom field will only be populated for the registrant, and not available for view by the attendees.
10. Select the Save button.
You have now created a custom field for your legacy event.
